This week’s guest is Makeda Ubiaro, a lady who has a passion to inspire and uplift others and give them the recognition they deserve.
Following the huge success of The Amazing Women Awards In 2011, Makeda will be organising The Amazing Young People Awards 2012.
The Amazing Women Awards was held at the Aston Villa Football Club. The event was featured in five national newspapers including Birmingham Mail, The Voice and various radio stations. The fun, glamour, luxury evening featured secret millionaires, celebrity guests and The Lord Mayor of Birmingham.
Recently young people have had alot of negative press due to the nationwide riots. However in the past there has always been a stigma of hooded Asbo hooligans in baggy pants, and drunken young ladies cursing whilst stumbling out of pubs on a Friday night. Rarely do you see the responsible, lovely, unique and amazing truth of the majority of teenagers in our worlds.
In England there are those young people who silently day after day work extremely hard. They are well mannered, they are helpful, they are fantastic representatives of their families and communities, ambassadors of their schools. Some of them have achieved great milestones in extremely difficult and challenging situations. Some are carers of mums, dads, grandparents etc.
The Amazing Young People Awards is a red carpet all bling glamour affair created to congratulate and publicly celebrate these such young ones and we would like to showcase their artistic abilities, entrepreneurial flairs, vocal velocities, and continued commitment.
We would like to find comediennes, dancers, singers, pianist, violinists, and saxophonist from deep in the underwood of the roughest areas in our neighbourhoods. We are looking for those young people who despite everything going wrong in their lives, have come out on top smiling!
