I have never been a fan of putting too many products on my skin but as someone who has an uneven skin tone I’m always on the look out for a foundation that will be light enough to feel like skincare but give enough coverage to stop my face looking patchy.
Enter IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Foundation + Skincare. It’s waterlight and has a medium buildable coverage with a natural radiant finish. It’s a foundation for those that want better looking skin and extra ingredients have been added to the formula in order to improve your skin tone.
One of my bug bears when it comes to foundation as a woman of colour is whether or not there’ll be a shade that will match my skin tone. Well, I didn’t have to worry with this range. There are 40 shades to choose from which I think is amazing! I love it when a brand really listens to their audience and does all it can to give them what they want and need. There is also a shade matching tool on their website if you’re not quite sure which shade to choose.
My days are super busy and I’m currently juggling a variety of projects from turning my 8 bedroom house into a women’s home to showing businesses how to use YouTube to grow their influence and impact, and I need to be sure that my foundation is working WITH me and not against me.
So having recently tried their CC+ Cream, which I loved, I thought I’d give this a try as well and I wasn’t disappointed. I have oily/combination skin and am always wary of how a foundation is going to sit on my skin, but this one was great. Its super light texture is easy to apply and buildable, so you can apply as little or as much as you want depending on the coverage you require.
The formula is light without being sticky and is comfortable to wear throughout the day and despite having oily skin, it didn’t make my skin look and feel more shiny.
The foundation is more fluid than the CC+ Cream which I like because it’s light enough to even out my skin tone and to also give coverage where I need it. I’m already a fan of IT Cosmetics skincare range so to also get an extra shot of hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and vitamin E in my foundation is a bonus!
If you haven’t already guessed, I love this foundation! It has certainly given my other foundations a run for their money and I would definitely recommend it. It’s really great value for money.
