Andrew Steele is a talented 400m runner who is widely respected on the International athletics circuit. He has represented his country at most major competitions since 2005. Andrew is a key member of the Men’s 4x 400m relay team to which his energy has been integral in placing the team up there with the best in the world.

Andrew was successful on the junior scene and made the transition to the professional circuit by winning the National Championships in 2007. He was selected for the Beijing Olympics in 2008, making the Semi Final in the 400m and narrowly losing out on a medal in the 4×400 relay. 2009 and 2010 have seen Andrew work hard in training to come back from injury and he is fully focused on winning a medal in front of his home crowd in 2012.

Andrew is an interesting character whose skills don’t just lie on the sports field. He is a talented music producer, a budding linguist who speaks a couple of languages and a devoted foodie. He is the son of This Morning’s resident health expert Dr Steele which explains Andrew’s interest in healthy living, exercise and nutrition.

Andrew is popular with the press and is well known for writing his own regional columns. He combines this with a number of activities such as school visits and motivational speaking drawing on his years of international competition and the highs and lows of being a professional athlete. Andrew is the ideal ambassador for his country and would be an asset to anyone he worked with.
